Home Visitation Program for Families
Having difficulty with teaching your children? El Sol along with First 5 Riverside County have partnered to bring a FREE 30 week in Home Visitiation program to help promote language and literacy skills, improve parent and child relationships along with parent group meetings. Chino: There is a new support group for couples who have lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. Groups are held every 3rd Saturday of the month from 8:30AM-9:30AM at Crosspoint Church, 6950 Edison Avenue, Chino, CA 91710 and it is absolutely FREE. San Bernardino County has created a Maternal Health Directory. Click on the link for the nearest resources near you. http://www.sbcounty.gov/DBH/MMH/The Wiley Center is hosting a FREE Maternal Wellness Support Group for pregnant or pospartum mothers. The group will help assist coping and communication skills, teach relaxation techniques, and how to feel more connected with baby and partner. Group will be held on Mondays from 11am to 12:15pm at the Wiley Center starting March 7. Child care is NOT provided but babies who are non-walking, non-crawling are welcome to attend. Pomona- Pomona Valley Hospital offers a Pregnancy & Pospartum Stress Group every Tuesday from 12:30pm to 2pm at 1170 N. Orange Grove Ave., Suite 210, Pomona, CA. Lunch and childcare are provided. Please contact Anna Pavlov, PhD. at (909) 469-9491.
Riverside County- Corazon Counseling Services offers a 6 week Postpartum Wellness group for women who have recently given birth (0-6 months). Groups are conducted in Spanish from 10am to 11:30am and English groups are at 1pm to 2:30pm. There is a $40 fee which includes the 6 sessions, art supplies and snacks. Babies in arms are welcomed. San Bernardino County- SACHS Family Resource Center provides empowerment support groups for women experiencing postpartum depression. Please contact Memrose Atiga, MSW at (909) 382-7169 (English) or Adriana Gomez, MSW (909) 382-7172 (Spanish) for initial appointment for intake and assessment.
San Bernardino County- Redlands: Christian Counseling Services provides supprt groups for pre/post partum depression and are held every Monday from 12pm to 1pm at Bethany Reformed Church, 705 Cajon Street, Redlands, CA 92373. Groups are free and free childcare and appetizers are provided. Please call (909) 793-1078 Ext. 214 for further information.
San Bernardino County- Arrowhead Regional Medical Center offers Post Partum Support Groups every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 11am to 12pm. Dads and babies are welcome to atttend. Please contact Kendra Carter, MSW at (909) 580-3530 for further information.
Riverisde County Deptartment of Public Health has added a new service in their Black Infant Health for pregnant African American women. You can also call the Black Infant Health Program at (951) 210-1385 for more information.
Riverside Co. Dept. Of Public Health / Pregnant & Postpartum Support Groups are no longer operating due to a loss of grant funding. This organization is still seeking financial support in order to bring this needed service back to our community.
