Save the Date! Mark your calendars for our 7th Annual Conference:The Impact of Culture and Faith on Parental Mental Health. This year our conference will be held at Loma Linda University on Thursday, October 27,2016 from 8AM-5PM where CEU's will be provided.  Guest speakers include Dr. Sandraluz Lara-Cinisomo from University of Illinois-Urbana as she will provide parental mental health and  its impact on Latino Families, Dr. Victoria Hendrick (Reproductive Psychiatrist from UCLA), and Kendra Flores-Carter (MSW) from ARMC as she will provide parental mental health and its impact on African American families.  We will also have an end of the day panel discussion by faith-based leaders.  Exhibitor opportunities will also be available by contacting Loretta Schnaus at (909) 383-3025 or email: LSchnaus@dph.sbcounty.gov.  Registration will begin in September.  Please check out our flyer attached below.  We look forward to seeing you there as we contiue to help families throughout Riverside County.

In need of some additional parenting tips or how to help your 0-5 year old? The Wylie Center is hosting a FREE Parenting Program beginning Thursday, July7, 2016.  The group meets for 9 weeks for approximately 2 hours a week from 10-12pm at 4164 Brockton Ave., Riverside, CA 92501.  Please contact Christina Jennings at (951) 683-5193 Ext. 240 or 208 for further information.

 

The Prevention and Treatment of Traumatic Childbirth (PATTCh) will be hosting a 2 day online webinar on healing birth trauma.  This informative webinar will provide valuable information on prevention, recognition and healing effects of birth trauma.  The conference has been approved for 6 CEUs and begins on Monday, June 27 @ 8:30AM-12:15PM as well as Tuesday, June 28 @ 8:30AM to 12:15PM.  Please log onto the website and register http://pattch.org/trauma-conference/

The County of San Bernardino Behavioral Health services along with the Children's Network is hosting a Maternal Mental Health Training on June 1, 2016 at the County of Behavorial Health Auditorium at 850 E. The League of Latino American Citizens (LULAC) is providing their annual community health fair on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 8am-4pm at Cesar Chavez Community Center in Riverside. For more information look at our Resource Fliers tab and find the LULAC 2016-English and LULAC 2016-Spanish.

 

The Inland Empire Perinatal Mental Health Collaborative will host its 7th Annual Perinatal Mental Health Conference in Fall 2016! Typically our conferences are in the Spring, but due to the annual Postpartum Support International Conference taking place in San Diego in June, 2016, we wanted to change our conference date so that people would be able to attend both conferences with ease.

The focus of our IEPMHC conference this year will be on culture and faith in the treatment of parental mental health disorders. Check back for more information or contact us with any questions.
