About Garrison

“Our collaborative formed in March, 2009 after a toddler, Garrison Burchett, was killed in the City of Riverside by his mother, Lori Burchett. There were signs and symptoms which indicated to us and others that Garrison’s mother may have been suffering from untreated postpartum psychosis at the time of his death. Lori Burchett is now serving 25 years to life for his murder in a women’s prison in California. Garrison, father, Greg Burchett, kindly volunteers his time to the IEPMHC to raise awareness regarding maternal mental health disorders so that no family will ever have to experience this type of loss. We are grateful for his sharing what is and was his family’s most grave tragedy in order to never forget his beloved son.”
